Do you have friendships where you know yourself more deeply when you finish a conversation with them? I am blessed to have a few women in my life who ‘see me’ and through their witness, I understand myself more clearly.

Recently I had the opportunity to have a long walk and brunch with a dear friend. We connect heart to heart. Through sharing our stories, insights, heartaches, and joy I expanded.  She was traveling during the annual deck-a-dent party my partner and I hosted this year in June, and she asked me about it. I recognized more fully my delight in authentic connection with people. Recounting several spontaneous conversations that evening, I saw how much I value fluid offering and receiving of kindness.

By owning my values of connection and kindness, I support making choices aligned with my Center Within.

When I am true to myself, I feel peaceful and content. I can reconnect with my inner compass when I get off track, overwhelmed, or despairing. I am sure practicing recentering a lot these days!

What are your guiding principles, vision, and values?

Living in alignment with who we are, and how we show up, is the heart of our purpose in this lifetime. Optimal doing and choices arise from our inner essence and being when we Live from Our Center Within.

My professional life these days is filled with mentoring people and supporting the next generation of leaders, healers, coaches, visionaries, and practitioners. Several new opportunities have come my way through strong relationships and acts of kindness.

  • I signed a six-month one-on-one coaching contract with a local organization that supports newly diagnosed patients with chronic diseases.
  • After an inspiring conversation with an integrative physician creating a two-year fellowship for medical students, I was invited to be the course director for Introduction to Spirituality in Medicine, a topic near and dear to my heart.
  • Thank you, New World Women, for the opportunity to lead a discussion on Living Interconnected: The Power of Courageous Conversations in July. We need to be in a community with like-hearted people and cultivate our communication and conflict-resolution skills NOW more than ever.

The uncertainty and divisiveness of these days can elicit fear and pain. Living from YOUR Center Within can support YOU in living your very best life personally and professionally.
